What do I do at McFadden Honda? I am the General Manager and Managing Partner of McFadden Honda. My role is to lead and coach all the departments of the dealership, as well as the marketing of the dealership. I like being part of the McFadden Honda family because I know each and every team member, and I get to engage with them all almost every day. It seems that every day here is a new adventure. I am new to Lethbridge, and the McFadden Honda family has opened their arms and welcomed me! What is my favorite car? My favourite car is a 1970 – 1972 Dodge Challenger. I’ve always wanted one, ever since they came out! My first car was a 1969 Chevy Bel Air. I didn’t pay much for it, it only cost $100. It was a sleeper, it wasn’t fancy. But under the hood was a 327 c.i. motor with chrome valve cover, chrome air breather, chrome water pump, and a whole bunch more chrome. My hobbies are: (What I do when not providing great customer service?) I have way too many hobbies. I am a drummer with the Winnipeg Police Pipe Band (yes it’s a long commute). I have a beautiful wife, Erika, and two wonderful children, Avery and Owen. I enjoy watching hockey and football, as well as playing golf every opportunity I can! I love vacationing with the family and taking the wife to Vegas whenever the grandparents are so kind as to watch the kids for us. :) I am born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, and have certainly made my roots here! I am the Used Vehicle Sales Manager of McFadden Honda. My role is to operate and market all aspects of the Used Vehicle Department, from appraising trades to re-marketing. I have been in the automotive industry in our beautiful city for over almost 10 years. Being part of the McFadden Honda, you get a sense of family and team atmosphere that is rare in the automotive market today. What is my favorite ride? Well, being a Used Car Guy, I appreciate every make and model, but my most favorite is a 1954 Ford F-100 Step side in Baby Blue. My first car was a 1974 Ford F-100 Step Side in Baby Blue. McFadden Honda has fun, friendly and helpful staff no matter which department you're here to see. Favourite car: 1969 Dodge Charger because of the Dukes of Hazard or a 1989 Pontiac Trans-Am because who didn't like Knight Rider. First car: a 1982 Ford Mustang. Typical teenager spent $1,700 on the car and $2,500 on the stereo. Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends. I enjoy golf (but never get out as much as I'd like). I'm also into NFL football and anything hockey. Favourite team is the Calgary Flames. I'm a local boy, born and raised. Spent 39 of my 40 years here in Lethbridge. I spent 1 year in Calgary (one was enough). I have recently married my wife on new years 2015. That day I became a husband and father to 3 kids. I am the Financial Services Manager at McFadden Honda. My role is to work with the many lenders that Mcfadden Honda deals with in order to get you your dream vehicle. My very first job in the automotive industry was as a detailer in 2006. I have had many different roles; Financial Services being my favorite so far. I admire Mcfadden Honda, it is a family run group with a fun and exciting atmosphere. I am very happy to be a part of such a caring team. My favorite car is a 1971 Shelby GT500, aka Eleanor. Growing up my favorite movie was gone in 60 seconds, when my dad came home one day with a baby blue 1971 Shelby with a license plate that reads “Eleanor”, I fell in love. My favorite thing to do when I’m not at work? ANYTHING outdoors. In the summers I do a lot of hiking, I’ve almost completed all of the major hikes in Waterton; Goat Lake being my favorite. I have recently been going to the mountains in Fernie. In the winter you will catch me at Castle Mountain almost every Sunday; on a snowboard, obviously (nothing against skiers). I am a Sales Professional here at McFadden Honda, which means it is my job to assist customers to find their next new or used vehicle! I chat with them to get to know them, their situation, their needs and what features are important to them to determine right fit. I also ask them about their current vehicle and why wanting to change? Also budget, method of payment, finance, lease or cash and what currently paying and how paying to get all the pieces of the puzzle to ensure the perfect vehicle for them. I present the vehicle to them sharing their real life scenarios and how this feature or that will improve their situation. Then we take the test drive to clarify that the customer is comfortable in the vehicle, are happy with the ride and handling as well as that the vehicle has all the features they need. The test drive allows the customer to know if this is the vehicle for them! When the customer is feeling confident that they can see themselves owning this vehicle and ready to purchase we then take the process to the next steps. Such as figuring out terms to own along with seeing if we can come to agreement on the numbers. My goal is to educate customers on the sales process so they can make an informed decision and have fun in the process! Because it can be really fun and enjoyable!!! And the bonus is meeting amazing people with inspiring and interesting stories and forming lifelong relationships! What’s my favourite car? 2016 Honda Civic touring or EXT, it is so much fun to drive and puts a huge smile on my face every time! I loved Honda for many years and this vehicle is amazing in so many ways! But don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself! My first brand new car was a 1990 Honda Accord EX, which we financed. I had that car for 17 years and 375,000 kms, so it paid for itself many times over. Absolutely fantastic vehicle! It was a part of our family! And so reliable, handled the road so smoothly and made road trips or everyday errands enjoyable. After that I leased a 2007 Honda Pilot EXL, which I never had a single problem within 8 years! I am currently deciding on my next Honda either a Honda Civic or Honda HrV. I enjoy getting together with family and friends, walking swimming, drawing, painting music of all kinds, dancing and watching movies! I plan on taking drawing classes sometime and would like to learn to play the guitar and violin. Travel is a passion of mine and I have numerous destinations on my list! Purchasing a new vehicle should be a fun and non-stressful event and that is what I strive for every one of my customers. My favourite part of being a part of the McFadden Honda Family is just that, it’s like being part of a family. Everyone is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. This is hands down the best team to be a part of! My favourite car is 1978 Dodge Lil’ Red Express. I always loved that it looked like a powerful, strong pickup in a smaller frame. My first car that I purchased was a 1987 Dodge 150 regular cab, long box pick up. It was 2 tone blue and I absolutely loved this vehicle. My dad purchased this truck when I was 14 and I worked for 2 summers on the farm and the neighbour’s farms to buy it from him. My spare time is mostly conserved for my wife and little boy, we try to spend as much family time as possible. When I have a night away from the family, I’m an avid board gamer. I also am a part of the Chinook Mud Racing Association and compete in mud races with my 1983 Chev pick up named “Richard”. I enjoy the outdoors and have taken up archery in the last year. Mostly I spend weekends helping my parents at their acreage. I am a true Honda enthusiast and have been since owning a 1989 Ford Mustang as my first car. I sure learned how to fix cars with that one! Haha but my second car was a 1990 Honda Accord ex-r coupe with a 5 speed manual. That car was a the little car that wouldn't give up. I drove it everywhere and it never gave me any trouble. Haha I even went off roaring in it with lowering springs and didn't get stuck. Since then it started my love for the Honda brand. I've owned many different Honda's and Acura's since then. I'm happily married for 2 years now to a wonderful woman. She is the best and has given me 2 amazing daughters. I enjoy anything that's electronic and love technology. I also love to spend time camping with my family and being outdoors. My newest hobby is riding motorcylces and am in the process of teaching my wife so we can take nice long trips together on them to the mountains.
